Community safety, built for Africa

Safety, shared with
the people you trust.

Hold one button and your circle knows where you are. See what your neighbourhood has flagged before you walk into it. Set a journey and let silence itself raise the alarm. Three ways to not be alone in it.

Free to start. You decide who is in your circle, and what they can see.

How it works

Three ways FlagRisk stands
between you and it.

One for the moment it happens. One for the street before you reach it. One for the road you are still on. No control room, and no fee on the parts that keep you safe.

Hold one button

In a real situation you do not want a siren in your hand. Hold the panic button and your circle receives a silent alert with your live location.

See it before you reach it

Every flag from every person nearby lands on one live map. Robbery, flood, protest, a checkpoint that was not there this morning. You see the street before you walk it.

Trip Watch. When silence is the signal.

Tell FlagRisk where you are going and when you should arrive. Get there and nothing happens. Go quiet, miss the check-in, let the arrival time pass with no word, and your watchers are told where you were last seen. The alarm you cannot raise yourself is the one that matters most.

What is inside

Four pillars. One idea
underneath all of them.

Danger is rarely a single moment. It is a moment, a place, a road, and a pattern. FlagRisk covers all four.

Pillar one

In the moment

The seconds when something is already happening. One hold sends a silent alert with your live location to the people who would come for you. No sound on your phone, and no escalation you did not ask for.

  • Silent panic
  • Live location
  • Circle alert
Pillar two

From the crowd

What everyone around you already knows, gathered in one place. Flag a situation with a photo or video, set how serious it is, and it lands on the map for anyone walking the same way. Others confirm whether it is still there, so the map stays honest.

  • Flag a risk
  • Live risk map
  • Community verification
  • Reported incidents from national news
Pillar three

On the move

The stretch of road where nobody is expecting to hear from you. Set a destination and an arrival time. If you go quiet, your watchers are told where you were last seen, without you having to reach for anything.

  • Trip Watch
  • Check-ins
  • Route risk
Pillar four

About the place

Not one night, but the pattern. Whether an area is getting safer or worse, how exposed your own week has been, and what is happening at the places you care about even when you are nowhere near them.

  • Risk Score
  • Area intelligence
  • Watched places

Your trusted circle

The people who receive your signal first. Family, flatmates, the friend who always picks up. Everything above runs through them, which is why building the circle is the first thing you do.

Your Risk Score

A live read on your own exposure that moves with your day. It is the one number on FlagRisk that is about you rather than about an event, and it tells you when to be careful and when to relax.

Items marked as coming are built or specified and are not in the app you can download today. Everything else is live.

In a moment

One hold. Your circle moves.

One illustration, covering the first two pillars. Every step uses a feature that is in the app today.

9:12 PM
Maria feels watched on the walk home.

She opens FlagRisk and holds the panic button. No menus, no calls to make.

9:12 PM
Silent alert sent. Her circle of five lights up.

Nothing sounds on her phone. On theirs, FlagRisk shows that Maria needs them, right now.

9:13 PM
Her live location starts moving on their screens.

Three contacts see exactly where she is, updating second by second as she walks.

9:13 PM
Her brother calls. Her flatmate heads for the corner.

They already know where to go. Nobody has to ask where she is.

9:15 PM
Maria flags the street as unsafe.

The block is now marked on the map for anyone else in the neighbourhood tonight.

9:21 PM
She is home. Her circle stands down.

The alert closes. The flag stays up, so the next person sees it before they walk the same way.

No siren. No spectacle. Just the people who would come for you, knowing in seconds.

Why we built it
Most harm does not come from a single moment. It comes from being alone in it, from the people who would help finding out too late. FlagRisk closes that gap.

Questions

Before you join

No, and that is deliberate. When you hold the panic button, nothing sounds on your phone. A silent signal goes to your circle with your live location. In a real situation, the last thing you want is to draw attention to yourself.

You tell FlagRisk where you are going and when you expect to arrive, and you choose who watches the journey. Arrive and nothing happens. Miss the arrival time or a check-in with no word from you, and FlagRisk asks whether you are safe. If there is no answer, your watchers are told where you were last seen. It is built for the situation where you cannot reach for your phone at all.

Only the people in your circle, and only when you choose to share. You share either by sending an alert or by turning sharing on yourself. FlagRisk is not a tracking app. Your location is never broadcast to strangers, and it is never sold to anyone.

Nothing. Your circle, the silent panic button, flagging a risk, and the live map are free, and they stay free. Paid additions will exist later for people who want a wider safety net, and each one will be named plainly when it is ready.

Your circle, your reports, and your location stay yours. We use them to keep you and the people you choose safe, not to advertise to you. We do not sell your data.

Live alerts and location sharing need a connection. Where data is patchy, an alert is held and delivered as soon as the connection returns. Reaching a circle when a phone has no data at all is work we are doing now, and we will say so here when it is real.
